The statutes of the company (Latin: statutum "specification") specify the company objective, the headquarters of the company, the capitalisation (in nominal values), the company management, the supervisory board of the management, the accounting principles, and relationships with shareholders, etc. In Switzerland, the statues are subject to Section 26 of the Swiss Code of Obligations (OR), in addition to other authoritative provisions.
